While there’s no guarantees in life, we have decent reason to believe we’ll be able to deliver your Rozebuds to you earlier than promised! As we mentioned in a previous update, thanks to the incredible support we received within the first 24 hours of our campaign, we were able to kick off tooling a month ahead of schedule. Because of that, our manufacturer just sent us an update that they expect to be able to start production a month earlier as well!
We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves as there is still a long way to go and we know better than to expect a smooth ride, but we're pretty excited so we created a “Dreamy Timeline” with a few added milestones and we’re going to try to hold our manufacturer to it the best we can. We’re still going to stick to the original December shipping commitment just in case, but we are cautiously sharing this exciting news and will do everything possible to meet this Dreamy Timeline!

We've been using our prototypes for a while now and the responses from onlookers rarely disappoints. Whether at the coffee shop, subway, gym, or just walking the streets of New York, we get curious glances or questions about the product.
The most fun reactions come from high in the sky though (captive audience on a flight). On two travels, flight attendants have noticed the necklace to earphones conversion and loved it - so much so they pledged! So not only did Rozebuds attract backers 30K feet up, we also introduced two more people to the world of crowdfunding (neither had backed a project before). The other great travel interaction happened with a TSA officer. At first he didn't realize that they were earphones and when we showed them how they worked, his face was priceless. TSA Bonus - he didn't make me remove them! Not claiming Rozebuds is across the board TSA friendly, just saying we breezed through. once. ;)

Big week for us here - we got our first bit of press coverage! Paste Magazine wrote up a great article after an interview with Alicia. The article totally captures the value of the practicality and convenience of Rozebuds. We also shared some of the challenges that we faced through the design journey and how we overcame them. Backer Q&A: What happens when a call comes in while I am listening to music?

We received a great question from a backer about how the features work when you receive a call while using your audio. We thought the rest of our backers might be curious as well.
Q1: If you are listening to music and your phone rings how do you answer it?
A1: Click the logo button.
To skip a call, long press (2 secs) the logo button.
Q2: When the call ends will the music pause and then restart on its own?
A2: Yes, on both counts. The music will pause and then restart from where you left off. In the first example, when the other person hangs up you don't have to do anything - the music will just start playing again.
In the second example, you can hang up by clicking the logo button.
Bonus Q: How do I check the battery charge status?
